A Bit About Me
I have a Master Cosmetologist license and an Instructor license from the ND State Board of Cosmetology. I was the owner of Hair Safari Full-Service Salon, Inc. for the past 12.5 years closing its door in April 16th 2022 to allow focus 100% on educating the next society of beauty professionals. HSI started with an idea and it has grown into my passion.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx, I began my cosmetology career at the age of 16. My creativity and passion for the beauty industry was influenced by the abundance of art, dance, and fashion of a childhood growing up in New York City.

My passions are mentoring, educating, supporting and uplifting others. I find joy in feeding knowledge whether it is personal or it is professionally. I am fueled by hard work and a drive for education. I have been a master cosmetologist for almost 30 years as well as a Master Stylist, Master Extensionist, and Colorist.
I am a successful mother of 2 young adults, I am daughter, and I am a lucky wife.

It is my responsibility to spearhead operations of the school, administration, finances, marketing, accounting, budgeting, recruiting, and sales. I oversee education of the students, as well as teaching specialty classes and exclusive techniques in the industry. I coordinate networking events, special events, and I develop relationships with important vendors.
As a Cosmetologist my responsibilities include performing hair services, including but not limited to, hair cutting, shaping, thinning, coloring, lightening, styling, blow drying, curling, straightening, hair extensionist, color corrections, specialty coloring services, keratin complex certified, and treating with various conditioning treatments. I also perform facial waxing services. I have attended multiple hair shows to continue my knowledge and education of my business and industry.
My responsibilities as salon owner include payroll, product ordering, marketing, and hiring.
